Roman culinary gems - until the end of July!

By Margit Holzer at 06/23/07 02:34

Come and enjoy a culinary get-away on a riverboat cruising the Tiber. The creators of the culinary riverboat are the local wine enthusiast of the Latium. The adventure starts at the Ponte Duca D' Aosta and for 90 minutes you will be tasting local wines and enjoying local assorted cheeses like the fabulous goat cheese " pecorino romano, and the caciotta romana, a soft, splendid and well rounded cheese well known in the area.

Additionally "prosciutto" (cured bacon) and olives will be served, just what you crave on a hot summer day. In the meanwhile you are floating by the Roman historical sights like the Castel of San Angelo and the iland of the river Tevere.

Your vacation in Rome at your fingertips, just a click away with the currently 2,800 links for Bed-and-Breakfasts and also other accommodations at DDE Europe. Some are realy at a good price, such as 30 to 40 Euro out of the center.

Fitting your style of traveling you can pamper yourself to a luxurious over-night stay around 200 Euro, in the historical center of Rome or you can choose a low-budget accomodation around 40 Euro. In any case you will be inspired by the charm of the "eternal city".
