Recently I have been to Kenya. And as always one has certain expectations about a country. Africa wasn't completely 'new' to me as I had already been to Zimbabwe, Botswana and Namibia. Still. Kenya is quite another country. The thing that struck me most was the creativity in publicity. And then I am not talking about the big bill boards. No, I am talking about the small painted shops. About shops in beautiful colours and fantastic names. What about 'Paradise Hotel' for some small run down place almost in the middle of nowhere? It's so nice to see that people have dreams.
It can't have been a coincidence that I saw this written somewhere on a bulletin board: It must be borne in the mind that the tragedy of life does not lie in not reaching your goal, it lies in not having a goal. It is not a calamity to die with dreams unfulfilled but it is a calamity not to dream. It is not a disaster to be unable to capture your ideal, but it is a disaster not to have an ideal to capture. It is not a disgrace not to reach the stars, but it is a disaster to have no star to reach for. Failure is not the sin, but low aim is
