Instead of Barcelo Maya Palace in Cancun, as the couple initially wanted, the rooms were instead, booked for Barcelo Maya Beach Hotel. This hotel possesses the lowest rating of all the hotels in the entire complex. To their added frustration they were told that they could upgrade to Maya Palace for an additional two thousand dollars.
