Please give us a short summary of your website?

Hike Nepal is an independent trekking and tour guide company owned and operated by myself ( Binod Mahat). I personally escort all treks and tours specializing in small group and tailor made trip to the Nepal Himalayas including Tibet, India (Trekking in Ladakh and Sikkim ) and Bhutan.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

I am the lover of nature and like to show you the wonders of Nepal natural beauty and cultural diversity through trekking and tours. That inspired me to lauch my website.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

2004 was the date when I first launched my website and it was all related to Nepal trekking and tours.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

My website's domain name is www.hikenepal.com which is very much travel related website. So I decided to keep this name.

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

My website is very simple, clean and user friendly website.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

I would love to expand the ranges of personalized services for my clients.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

I personally love to work hard, most of the time I spend in front of my computer and do some work to promote my website. And 60 % of business I get from my website. And I am satisfied with this.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

I would build a School for poor children.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

I am confident that I would able to keep up with the demand of my customers.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

Sometime my clients have to face unexpected hazard like accident, altitude sickness, during the trek in the high mountain of Nepal and it is my responsibility to take care all hazards.

What has been your biggest challenge?

To promote my website in search engines

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

If the websites gets lots of clicks in particular keywords from users

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

My website is not running beyond my expectation.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

I launched this website in 2004 and will continue to keep it for several years
