Fly Hub International Travel Interview

By Interviewer at 08/27/09 09:03

New South Wales, Lake Mac Quarie: My Lake Mac Quarie entrance at dusk Name of your website?

Fly Hub International Travel

Your name?

Brian Gill

Your Location (city, etc)

Newcastle

Please give us a short summary of your website?

I have put together several pages on travel and travel related information in order to ease a prospective traveler travails in finding specific world travel information for traveling around the world. Cruises, hotels or even car rentals can be easily located here.

The expectant traveler may also find many special rail passes for England or Europe. Many famous and economical hotels are highlighted on our site and you can even find certain airport displays or maps to get around them also. Top airline carriers are also displayed for ease of contact by the world traveler.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

A need to find all my travel topics in one place to easily sort out my own vacations. A possibility of an ability to make some earnings eventually from the site was also a consideration.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

Funny enough it was a Botox site as my wife showed an interest in it so I researched the topic Botox and put all the good information I came across on a site together with articles I wrote from my research. The site is still working here at Anti Age Botox

How did you decide on a name for your website?

I wanted the site to immediately show people what it was about. A fly hub so to speak.

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

I have been unable to find such a all encompassing site like mine anywhere on the web.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

Sell or income? Not sure still growing it.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

Time and money = 20% Success = .00001%

Who knows? I for one do not know how to work this out. My time is free to give so any earnings would be an incalculably ROI.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

Farm out many of the time consuming daily tasks I do or should I say, should do every day.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Yes, of course as it is actually working on auto pilot at the moment and it is only traffic building that takes any time at all.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

None really. Maybe getting greater more consistent relevant traffic becomes a little repetitive.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Traffic creation.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Article submissions and directory submissions and commenting on relevant blogs helps.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

My site for travellers is actually running exactly as expected.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

I have not run my site nearly long enough and I will keep it until I receive an offer I cannot refuse although that is not likely as life doesn't seem to do me many financial favors. As the topic is one that will be relevant in the future there is no need for me to stop it. I will just continue to grow it and refine it.

What is your most favorite directory?

My most favored directory would have to be classifieds1000.com as they help web site owners in more ways than can be calculated. Second place would have to be Article Base and for a links directory possibly Apex Link Directory where my site Fly-Hub.com holds top position.

What is your website address?
