StatMedica.com is a source of information on the Private Healthcare Sector in Poland and includes a separate section dedicated to medical tourism to help foreign visitors looking for high quality care make well-informed decisions. The site includes information on the best dentists, cosmetic surgeons and other medical specialists in Poland

What inspired you to launch your own website?

The quality of healthcare in Poland is very high and at prices which are much lower than in the West. Poland has a great opportunity to take advantage of the growing global medical tourism trend. I launched the website to help Polish healthcare providers promote themselves effectively outside of Poland.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

The website was appeared in May 2007 and was officially launched in July of the same year.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

The name Statmedica was inspired by the latin phrase 'statim (stat) which means 'immediately' and is often used as a medical short hand following an urgent request

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

StatMedica.com is the most comprehensive source of information on the private healthcare sector in Poland. The site has a separate section devoted to the rapidly growing medical tourism sector in Poland.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
