What inspired you to launch your own website?
Travel was heading to another trend by launching websites. We decided to have our own website in 1999 when it was the beging of website launches for travel agencies in Turkey. We did the right direction by taking our services to another level.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
we launched our first website in 1999 and it was a travel agency website offering our services online to all over the world.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
We wanted to use the name of our company on our domain name. Our company name was suggested by one of our former clients.
Please give us a short summary of your website?
Our website lists all of the services that we offer for travel arrangements in Turkey. We organize escorted tours, customized itineraries, yachting, hotel bookings, meeting and incentive trips for companies, daily city tours and special interest group tours in Turkey
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
We are exclusively specialized in Turkey travel. We take our time to create our products and evaluate the suppliers we work with to ensure the highest quality of service. We are quite well traveled inside and outside of Turkey so we are aware of the needs and expectations of the travellers so we give quite big importance to attention to details and make sure each client of ours receive the same customer service and memorable vacation to Turkey. We are proud of our repeat clients and referrals from all over the world.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
We will keep this as our ongoing business as this is a part of our life and we work with great interest and happiness. Introducing Turkey and hosting our clients in our city and country give us great pleasure.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
We invest alot of time on our work and we are pretty successful as the hard work pays off when we have our satisfied and happy clients. Thats our goal. Money is in the second part.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
We will spend more money on improving our website and invest into more technical foundation of the company bringing more hitech equipments.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Although we do not want to be a huge company, some growth will be accepted. We want to keep it at certain level. We will make necessary changes to keep up with the demand by employing more employees.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
we had from time to time problems with our hosting company. Our website optimization didnt bring great results and creating the website in three different languages were the real challanges
What has been your biggest challenge?
After designing the website and puting the content, bringing the website into spotlight in terms of search engine positioning was the biggest challange
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
organic search engine listings were the most successful promoting as well as paid links and advertisings to some extend.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
Its been 4 years that we run this website and we will keep it as long as we are in the business. We will often update the contect and change the design from time to time to follow up the new technics and travel trends
