How to use Kelkoo to find the best flight dealBooking online can be daunting at first for those not used to shopping online. This article will hopefully show how easy it can be and what benefits you get from being able to compare prices quickly and easily. Kelkoo is used as an example, but you can equally use similar websites as you prefer. For this example I’m using Kelkoo Travel, since its webpage offers cheap flights, hotels and car hire all together on the same page.
I’m thinking of going to Spain this year to see the sights, smells and sounds of the Iberian Peninsula. Lets suppose I am looking for flights to Spain leaving in August 25th, for 2 weeks; I’ll need a car from the airport and I want to stay in a hotel whilst on holiday.
I navigate to the Kelkoo travel page.
I type in London to the departure box and I get a drop down box detailing which airport I want to fly from. I have no airport preference, so choose the top option.
I’ve selected Flight + Hotel + Car hire at the top of the screen as I’m looking for all of those; the screen briefly reloads as it updates to include the car hire and hotel drop down menus.
I fill in some more details, including looking at flights to Barcelona and the date. A handy calendar appears so you can check when you want to go. I see here the 25th of August is on a Saturday….hope that’s not too expensive!
I’ve included when I wish to leave and return during the day (outward leaving in the morning, coming back in the afternoon). I’m going on my own and just choosing which type of car I’ll hire; I’m on a budget so I’m going for the economical cars.
I’ve submitted my details and pushed “Search”. It brings back many choices on where I could book.
I’m looking for the cheapest deal possible, a 2 star hotel and I quite fancy driving a Renault Clio…I select sorting the results for Flights by Price, Hotels by Star rating and Cars by Car type…
You can browse each section independently within the page; here I browsed until I found Clio’s, a nice hotel for a reasonable price and the cheapest flight.
Ticking the “Calculate the Price of your trip here” adds up your selected choices for you so you don’t need a calculator!
Good, under £1000.
Clicking on the “Go!” button or the links in your selected product takes you out of the Kelkoo site to the selected webpage. All the information has been filled in for you!
Now simply complete your transaction on your selected merchant WebPages, or go back and browse the list again.
Hopefully this shows how easy it can be, and how powerful being able to compare prices quickly can be in choosing the right holiday.
