What inspired you to launch your own website?

To attract people business for my business.

I started this website in April of 2007.This is my 1st website,it is a limousine service.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

I used my last name.

Please give us a short summary of your website?

LaClair Limousines Inc is owned and operated by Valrico resident David LaClair.It is licensed and insured and all vehicles are permitted in Hillsborough county with the Public Transporation Commission

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

I focus on the needs of the customers and try to make it affordable for everyone.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

I plan on expanding in the next year.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

I have no complaints about starting my business. Business has been very good so far.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

I would buy more fleet for my business.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Yes I would be able to keep up with the demand. I would invest in more vehicles for my fleet.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

I have been very lucky.I have not had any unexpected costs to deal with,but if I did I have savings put away to cover it.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Getting more business and advertising in the right areas.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

the interenet has been the best advertisment.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

I has been great.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

What inspired you to launch your own website?

I was thinking about changing my career and doing something I love, and that is being outdoors and enjoying wildlife. Camping under the stars, cooking over an open fire and listening to the night sounds of animals. So I launched a safari company and began building a site that was really nice looking and easy to use.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

January 2007. Its a safari website with a stunning photo gallery and information about african wildlife, such as interesting behaviour, adaptations, group names and name origins. I mean, how many people know what a group of hippo are called. A pod? A bloat? So in addition to offering safaris I write articles about wildlife.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

That was really difficult. I finally settled on Wild Africa Safari Co, because the "Wild" refers to the wildlife and the wildness of certain areas. Africa because we go to various countries, and the rest speaks for itself.

Please give us a short summary of your website?

The home page tells a little about us and what we offer and why. Safaris carries a range of safaris in different countries. Photo Gallery has over a hundred lovely photos of wild animals from lion to leopard to aardvark to hippo. Wild News is the page where I post articles I write about wildlife.

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

I am absolutely crazy about wildlife and the vast outdoors. Its not a business for me, but a passion, and a place where I can offer something of value, something special, not just a whole host of arbitrary offerings. There are safaris, and then there are real safaris where you are out in the bush, amongst the wildlife, no fences and not sleeping out of the game area in some hotel.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

My goal is to grow the site into one of the leaders in african safaris, but with offerings of the more exotic places, off the beaten track but rewarding like Gabon. Maybe one day I will consider selling or taking on a partner so I can spend more time out in the wilds exploring and just enjoying nature.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

At this point I am spending more than I am making as this is a new venture and I want everything to be just right. The rewards will come with time as my reputation builds. I also dont need to make huge amounts of money to rate myself successfull. I prefer travelling in my land rover and sleeping in my roof top tent, cooking my own food over a fire so I dont need a big holiday budget!

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

I would employ a full time SEO magician to boost my rankings, and concentrate on finding even more wonderful places for my clients to visit. Of course, having personally visited them all first!

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Absolutely, one of my greatest skills is organising, managing and working 12 hour days.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

The biggest cost and headache has been optimising my website and paying for advertising while I grow my page rank.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Learning search engine optimising and the million little tricks that go with it! Its a whole new set of skills to learn and then keeping up to date with changing strategies.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

At this new point when I am still submitting to directories and publishing articles, paying for adwords is my only option to get visitors.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

I never expected to have to learn so much. Its like having to learn a new foreign language.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

I have run the site for about 2 months and expect to be doing it for a couple of years.

Do you enjoy the work?

I find running the website and optimising very challenging and fulfilling. The great thing is the more effort you put in, the more results you see.

We have a seccion call EXTRAS. This is were our page brights. Here you can buy GIFTS, HONEYMOON REGISTRY, TICKETS (EVENT TICKETS, FLORIDA THEME PARK TICKETS), TRAVEL ACCESORIES, TRAVEL CALLING CARDS, CURRENCY CONVERTER, DELIVER MY LUGGAGE. ECT.

Get as much people as I can to visit my page and sell items.

Hopefully my sucess will come. I am working really hard to reach it.

I really love what I am doing. I will use some of that money for more publicity.

The website has been online since 2005 when Brian & Lola decided to change their names to The Palmers, a move which successful, since this combined them as a coupled act and not as indivual performers.

The website is a promotional one, desinged to attract entertainment agencies to our services, i.e. International Magic and Illusion shows. It's design and coding is simple and fast with easy interactive options for users. Online promotional videos have been embedded through Youtube to enable easy viewing of promotional videos, but a full promo kit including high qulaity photos and videos is available to download if required.

What has been the most difficult part of creating and running your website?

The most difficult part has been deciding on a look that fits with The Palmers' characters. Since those who have seen us perform, a high volume of vistors was expected and therefore a structural planning was defined to cater for an efficient server to sustain the required bandwidth. Apart from that the hardest part of running the website is coping with the high demand of fan emails.

What has been the easist part of operating your website?

Since the website was designed to be self efficient and automated, running the website is child's play and the easiest part is to update recent news events, photos, videos and downloads.

What was your biggest mistake?

Not creating such a website ealier.

Martin Custo of Marcus-Webcast Productions maintains the website. Martin is one of the best designers who specializes in creating websites for performing artists. He has desinged and created our website from scratch and maintains it for us.

Since this website does promote us worldwide and offers instant downloads and online videos, those interested in booking our services can view our promotional material on demand. This also saves us alot of time and money since it has cut down on sending out promotional packages.

What are your views on ecommerce and the future of the internet?

Ecommerce and the internet are here to stay because they provide the perfect way to find and discover sources from all over the world. Using the internet to provide or receive a service is definetly time saving, cheaper and easy for everyone which makes it the ideal tool and here to stay for many years to come.

Search Engine Optimization is a great way to provide those looking for something the best choice of services or products available. Everyone should have their website optimized for search engines, in order to make their service more visable to millions of users worldwide.

Search engines are the best tool for anyone looking for something to find it easily and effeciently. They have helped our website and service in many ways but especially they have help us to make us visable to anyone looking for our services. We are happy to spend money on search engines in order to promote our services.

Search engine and targeted emails have been the best source. After those word of mouth and business cards.

Television adverts seemed to work less for us.
